Amazing Cocktail Recipes you should know for your home bar

Every good home bar and bartender needs a bunch of great cocktail recipes at hand. Impress your guest with these delicious recipes and you’ll be set behind a bar for life! or you could just look for some amazing Bottled Cocktails.

Just as important as learning how to make the drink is knowing which glass to select for serving it! Use a short tumbler (known as low-ball or old-fashioned glass) for a Negroni on the rocks, or old-fashioned; select a martini glass for a martini served straight up or a Cosmopolitan, and a highball glass for a mojito or any sours. 


The Negroni is, quite simply, a perfect cocktail. Maybe it’s the perfect cocktail. With equal parts Campari, gin, and sweet vermouth, it couldn’t be easier to make! We add some apricot liquor into ours which it an instant modern classic.


In Fleming’s 1953 novel Casino Royale, Bond ordered the following yet-unnamed cocktail from a bartender: “Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large, thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?” Our addition of Mirabelle Plum liquor makes our Vesper a tad sweet and a lot more fun or was it, dangerous.


One of the great classic bourbon cocktails, the Old Fashioned was invented in Louisville, KY. Try bourbon, rye, or a blended whiskey in this cocktail. You can also sub one sugar cube for the simple syrup. At Atlas, our Prohibition Old Fashioned uses Cutty Sark Prohibition Scotch Whisky, a 100 proof whisky to give this cocktail deeper flavors and a longer lasting impression.


The bramble, invented in 1984 by Dick Bradsell, the patriarch of England’s cocktail uptick, at Fred’s Club in London’s SoHo, is essentially a short gin sour with a drizzle of crème de mûre, a French blackberry liqueur, over the top.
