Pim Pam by FOC, Singapore

PIM PAM by FOC is a casual all-day rendition of the outstanding original FOC restaurant in Singapore, serving, presumably, some of the best small plates and tapas in town. However, despite the reduced price point and fun-casual vibe, PIM PAM pales in comparison to its established elder sibling. That is not to say that the food and drinks were poor, because, the cuisine at PIM PAM is actually wonderful; the only issue is that the original Restaurant set the bar way too high for any fair comparison.

Paella and tapas generally fared well with our panel. There were hits, the Pulpo Gallego (Galician Octopus) was perfected executed, but there were also plenty of misses, the miniscule slivers of Spanish anchovies were tough to swallow for the price.

But to top it all off the service was cold, harsh and unfriendly; A real pity considering how the food is generally good and the Pan Con Tomate was excellent.
