Spoons, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Spoons is a hidden gem in Siem Reap, bridging the gap between exquisite dining and casual style. Fresh local products, simple cooking techniques, and outstanding flavors are all housed in a casual hut-like environment and served by expertly trained staff, making it a diamond in a field of rubies.

The grilled freshwater fish and Khmer curries are must orders! Flavor profiles were so complex and the fresh edible forest flowers were unlike anything we’ve tried in a restaurant in this category. This sets spoons apart from its competitors in the city, providing affordable high-level cuisine in a casual setting. On top of that, a meal of Spoons also goes towards a noble cause, as all staff are actually trainees and it is part of an NGO which helps the underprivileged in Cambodians acquire new skills.
