The St. Regis Hong Kong – Prepare to be pampered

Joy assisted us with our check-in and was both efficient and courteous. She also led us to a meeting room for a quick introduction. This time, we booked the Metropolitan Suite, which is just stunning. Well done, cleaning staff, for keeping everything clean and neat! We loved having so much space in the living room and dining area to enjoy the birthday cake and in-room dining later that evening. There are two walk-in closets and a large bathroom, both of which are well-kept and tidy. Butler service was prompt and kind, which was really appreciated.

Throughout, the service was absolutely outstanding. The kind and helpful personnel almost make you wonder how they manage to keep such constantly calm and patient demeanors in such a high-pressure metropolis. The amenities are beautiful and immaculate. Even the in-room music fit the melancholy tone of a gloomy day wonderfully.

The St Regis and Metropolitan Suites are both numbered 009 and are similar, with the exception that the Metropolitan Suites are located on higher levels.

We enjoyed supper at The Drawing Room and had the pleasure of meeting Ricky and Debbie, two really competent and kind individuals. The meal was excellent, and we really enjoyed the salmon tartare. I’m not a huge meat eater, but the beef ragout was delicious! We also loved the unique cocktails that they suggested. The one with yuzu and pearl was light and delicious, perfect for summer.

The workout center is large and well-equipped, and we would strongly suggest it!

We also went to the two-Michelin-starred French restaurant L’Envol, where we had the newly revised eight-course signature menu. From the freshness of the seafood – carpaccio-like caviar dish, Hokkaido sea urchin box with gamberoni prawn and grilled carabineros shrimp – to the hot dishes exclusively designed for the hot summer – Seared Kinmedai and Char-grilled A4 Wagyu with hints of refreshing citrus – every single dish is exceptionally good and perfectly presented. Another hallmark of the restaurant is the cheese cart, which is stocked with more than ten different varieties of cheese, including several that are unique to the area.

White chocolate thins, ginger bread, and honeycomb are all excellent accompaniments to the cheese. My delicious dinner was rounded up by an attractively presented seasonal mango & citrus pre-dessert, wild strawberry dessert, and petit-four.

The Tea Set is fantastic – don’t pass it up!
