This month our curation focuses on new school chic, beautiful beverages and concepts within rather unique spaces. Not your typical hotel bars, these take you out of your comfort zone to allow you to experience what a different or rather, more local side of Singapore has to offer.


Platform. is a modern day-to-night sensory concept environment emphasizing on light profile drinks, with the goal of cultivating a culture of quality lite-drinking. The cuisine is innovative by experimenting with naturally derived items from local retailers, and no dairy products or fresh juices are utilized in any dish. Platform uses a sophisticated approach to infusion and construction, and each drink is exact and consistent.


Lumo delivers hearty and comfortable Modern European food, specialty cocktails, wines, and, most importantly, extra warm hospitality. Lumo’s exterior resembles a low-key speakeasy-style restaurant bar. Once inside, the warm, cozy modern interior is a welcome contrast to the building’s historic appearance. Lumo’s concept is unusual, with two distinct places and experiences – the 40-seater bar provides more excitement and energy, while the 20-seater open kitchen is ideal for visitors seeking a more personal dining experience.


Vijay Mudaliar founded NATIVE, he is dedicated to using local and regional goods and supporting local and regional artisans for its wares, perfumes, music, and more.
NATIVE employs rustic materials and resources ranging from the familiar (mango, tumeric, cinnamon, and tapioca) to the unusual (foraged ants to arrak from Sri Lanka). A night at NATIVE is an adventure!

Kabuke is a sake gastrobar situated in the second story of a heritage shophouse along Telok Ayer Street, which provides a stage of sake and contemporary Japanese cuisine. Kabuke boasts sake from prefectures around Japan and particularly from tiny breweries. Experts and amateurs may look for advise on sensitive pairings that allow the food and beverages to flow in harmony.
